Being a Mom of two young boys, “packing light” is unheard of. On the daily, I carry in my bag anything and everything the boys could want, need, or whine for. That leaves me little extra space for my own essentials. Let’s be real, I’m down to a wallet and lip balm to be exact. But what I never leave is my iPhone. Since I’ve traded in my DSLR for my iPhone-ography skills, it seems appropriate to share my iPhotos as of lately. With a slight tweak to brightness, shadow, and even a possible filter addition; I’m favoriting daily photos to be included in my photo books. Surprisingly, these daily candids are turning out to be real gems. Totally Chatbooks worthy.
I’m overcome with nostalgia on how 2015 came to unravel itself. A year clearly defined by our family becoming four. It feels appropriate to say: best. year. ever.
Some highlights include being pregnant and sharing my last moments as a family of three. Then welcoming Lewis in March; and for the past nine months sharing how he’s grown. Marked by monthly calendar photo ops, I’m slightly favoriting his half birthday.
Then I think at how Sincerely Kymberly has evolved and I count my blessings that this blogging hobby of mine is enjoyed by others. For whatever reason you find yourself over at my internet real estate, it does warm my heart that it’s being affectionately supported. Receiving opportunities to work with family-oriented brands has been a highlight. These videos being the best experience to date.
Lastly, we became homeowners in a sleepy beach town. I may be biased here, but I’d argue our coastal town is one of California’s best kept secrets 😉 .
With 2016 a mere hours away, I’m setting the intentions to-do/accomplish/continue a few things:
- Continue to work on my photography skills and learn Lightroom.
- Up’ing my cooking skills.
- Keeping the family photos organized.
- Tackling the play room.
- Lock down a couple family trips and if possible, a quick parents-only trip.
RIP 2015. I’ll pour one out for you, homie; and raise my glass to 2016.

Want to venture down memory lane? Here’s 2014‘s year in review 🙂 .
We welcomed the new season with a trip to the pumpkin patch and as much as I wanted to layer up and throw on my Hunters to slosh thru the hay fields, the 80+ degrees kept me in shorts and my Birks. An odd feeling I tell ya.
Before I cave into sipping on pumpkin spice lattes I’m bidding adieu to summer in the only proper way I know how: with a few of my favorite end-of-season snapshots.
Summer, you will be missed.
