Being a Mom of two young boys, “packing light” is unheard of. On the daily, I carry in my bag anything and everything the boys could want, need, or whine for. That leaves me little extra space for my own essentials. Let’s be real, I’m down to a wallet and lip balm to be exact. But what I never leave is my iPhone. Since I’ve traded in my DSLR for my iPhone-ography skills, it seems appropriate to share my iPhotos as of lately. With a slight tweak to brightness, shadow, and even a possible filter addition; I’m favoriting daily photos to be included in my photo books. Surprisingly, these daily candids are turning out to be real gems. Totally Chatbooks worthy.
While one kiddo is napping and the other is off at preschool, I’m sneaking in an hour to finally share Lewis’ birthday pictures. I’m even sipping coffee while I type away. HOT coffee too. My friends, this is glorious. I feel like I’m in Starbucks right now.
Here’s the deal, my littlest turned the big ONE a few weeks back, and although I hadn’t been insta about sharing this moment, it is a milestone worthy of blog space 🙂 .
The luxury of typing away and sharing our life has taken a back seat. Averaging one post a month on my internet real estate totally bums me out. Yet I’m going to keep
swimming blogging. I’ve turned into a sporadic blogger whose talking more about family than anything else. But hey, if you still like my blogging aesthetic, keep following my adventures. I got you, Boo.

A single trip around the sun and here we are, celebrating Lewis’ 1st birthday. A bountiful year of memories photographed, video taped, and those forever engrained in my head; Lewis’ first year has been blissful. As his proud mama, I’ve poured onto my baby an extra dose of love and hugs in hopes he’s a bit more understanding that this special milestone is indeed pretty special 🙂 .
True to his zodiac sign, Lewis is showing traits of being a Pisces. A lover of the beach, water, and sand; all elements that run deep in this family’s veins, it’s been a real beauty watching him take in the joy an afternoon at the beach can be.
Much progress has occurred in the walking department. He stands without issue and shuffles his body around our furniture letting me get a good glance at his adorable two-foot tall stature. I’m sure walking will occur in the next few weeks, but that milestone can wait. I don’t know how much growing up I can take right now. Baby steps. Baby steps. (No pun intended 😉 ).
